Motor terminal blocks

Fast contacting of motor terminal blocks | 2- and 4-wire technology

Key-Facts

Productive contacts. In 4-wire technology.

Description

Contacting precise and fast.

Each motor manufacturer knows the problem of time-consuming contacting of motor terminal blocks. However, a motor can not be tested without an appropriate contacting.
SCHLEICH offers various contacting methods in order to save time.

Motor terminal blocks allow a fast clamping of  6-, 9- or 12 pole motor terminal blocks in 2- or 4-wire technology.  At motors with resistances under 1Ω the 4-wire technology is an advantage, as the measured results are not influenced by the contact resistances arising between clamps and threaded bolts.

To realize a faster and more user-friendly handling, SCHLEICH developed special motor terminal blocks, which are equipped with collets to enclose each threaded bolt and to assure a safe contacting.  A tension lever closes the collets as soon as the socket has been put on the motor terminal block´s bolts.  The housing contacting as single- or dual contacting is also integrated in the motor terminal block.

SCHLEICH offers a great variety of different motor terminal blocks.

Technology

Variant overview.

Motor terminal blocks are available for different terminal blocks: 6-, 9- or 12 pole

To select the appropriate socket the following data is important:

The terminal block sockets are either equipped with none, one or two housing contacts.
The housing contact contacts the terminal blocks´s fixing screw and thus establishes the connection between housing and motor. This is an advantage during e.g. HV-tests, as there´s no need to connect a separate ground connection to the motor for fault-to- frame tests.
